1.     One-on-one or group lesson

Private samba or forro lessons, location to be determined by the student.

The student chooses the kind of dance; Samba no pé (solo samba), Forró, or Samba de Gafiera (partner samba), that he/she wishes to learn and participates in one or more private lessons of the chosen rhythm.  The private samba / forró lessons are divided into about 90% practical and 10% theoretical and are lots of fun, the student will find himself dancing away after the first class.  The teacher explains how this type of dance fits into Brazil’s cultural history as well as Rio’s current night life.

• Anyone is welcome to participate in the lesson; women, men, groups or couples.
• Any level of dance is welcome.

2.     Lesson and a night out to dance

Private samba / forró lessons and a night out in Rio to practice your dance moves with the Samba and Forro dancer.

Private lesson + Going out to dancing (1 hour lesson and 3 hours out dancing). 

This is the best choice, because it joins the two packages described above; a private lesson and going out to dance.

Individuals or groups participate in a private lesson and then go out to dance at a local nightclub to put what they learned in the lesson to practice.  The night out will be in a typical Brazilian nightclub where the student gets to practice what they learned in the lesson with a personal instructor, learning about Brazilian culture while meeting new people.

This lesson + practical outing package is great because it joins the technical part of the lesson along with the practical part, in this way getting to know the cultural and social aspects of Brazilian society.

Note: The instructors that will accompany the students when going out at night are qualified to give all the security and help that the student needs in order to enjoy the night life that Rio has to offer.

3.     Going out dancing

A night out to practice your dance moves with the Samba dancer.
